It is cold in California and has been for a few weeks. I wake up sniffling with crap in my throat. And this for at least 3-4 weeks now. I thought this was the land of eternal summer? I’m certainly not feeling very summery in the current weather. I would like shorts and T-shirt weather again please. Thank you.

I know this exists. I know it’s here. I know I should write on it. I know I shouldn’t create a false sense of rhythm. But somehow, I just never get around to writing here. I’d like to redesign it. Put up a prettier header, write interesting, thought provoking entries. But hmm. Time?

I feel like we spend too much time working and not enough time living.

I’m not sure how or why, but I really missed Leberwurst.  Leberwurst (liverwurst) seemed like a really gross idea when I got to Germany the first time.  Meat in a tube.  But now it’s just delicious!

Ok. Sick of the fires already. This one I can see. This one makes my street smokey and my cat whiny.

Here are some pictures, some from afar (driving back from Hermosa Beach) and some from Glendale, some even from my porch. It looks like a neighborhood building is burning but it’s 4 miles away still and hopefully soon to be non-existent.
